As you can see, she got along with Hazel almost immediately.
As her name suggests, she is one tricky dog. Or, at least a tolerant one.

A few days after we got her (she came down with my mom for Labor Day weekend), it was her birthday (September 8, for those keeping track at home). We couldn't let her first birthday with our family pass without a birthday party. Hazel made hats.
And we had cupcakes. And we had guests (the aunties). And presents (bones). And a lovely song, which I should find and upload because it was awesome.
Trixie was quite pleased with the celebration.
The cupcakes were still delicious the next day.
So, there you go. New dog. She is awesome. I will never* again get a puppy. An older dog (she is four now) is the best. House broken, kennel trained, shots up-to-date, tolerant with the mauling of children. We just need to get her fixed. And we had cupcakes. And we had guests (the aunties). And presents (bones). We LOVE Trixie! Thanks, mom. And mom's neighbors.

Yahoo for Trixie!!!! If only she liked me as much as I like her.
Wow....she seems like the perfect dog. Those are the cutest cupcakes ever. We totally want to go back to Yellowstone now.
Glad Trixie found a loving home. She is very cute. Hazel did a great job with the birthday hats.
Hey! I saw on FB that you have a blog too. Fun to see what you are up to. We sure miss you and Hazel at CCNS!
Jenni was telling me about what an amazing fit Trixie is for Hazel. I love the pics.
