Blog. Blog. Blog. Blog, blog.

I gave Hazel's the dogs' old swimming pool. Because there is nothing better than getting hand-me-downs from dogs. It is turning out to be a great choice. (a) it was free (which I, of course, love). (b) it has hard sides (which allow for a jump point). and (c) it doesn't add anything to my collection of stuff.

Of course, she would only jump away from me, so I couldn't get a good shot of her joy-filled face. But, trust me, there was joy.
Yeah, this doesn't show the joy either...

The other day, but not the same day as swimming, Geoff and Hazel went jeepin' with Geoff's friend Kyle. Our jeep, which is named "Pezhead" (per Hazel) and also "jeepie" is a city-jeep, and thus did not make it to the top of the mountain. Luckily, Kyle has a tougher jeep. And so they drove to this lake. And then Hazel took her shoes off to get in the lake.

I was not there, I don't know the whole/true story. I just have to make stuff up based on photos and my knowledge of my kid. I was working and/or studying. Or both. And thus never get to play. Ever. Never.
And Geoff held her shoes, so they wouldn't get dirty and she could walk in the water.
And the sun was there.*
* You know, if Geoff would just blog his own dang pictures it would be better.

Okay, so this was the outfit Hazel wore for a nap one day. THREE sweaters (because, apparently 93* is not hot enough, you also need sweaters) and a swimsuit cover-up. Which I don't think has, even once, covered up a swimsuit.

And then she wore this outfit. Notice: backwards, no shirt. "Farmer's don't wear shirts." Or maybe her head is on backwards, I don't know. Still, no shirt. But, long, luxurious hair. Like Zoe Jane.
Finally, today is Hazel's half-birthday. Here was an earlier conversation:

Hazel: It is my birthday.

Geoff: It is your half-birthday.

Hazel: Sing to me.

*Meadow and Geoff sing happy half-birthday*

Hazel: Thank you.

Then she asked for cake. And we compromised with cupcakes. Except that we really made lemon-poppyseed pound cake. And it was only half-good. Which, I guess, is okay for a half-birthday.

And Jenni called it a made up holiday, but brought Hazel a card anyway. Which Hazel through on the floor, because we hadn't had dinner yet and her blood sugar was low. And she is two (and a half). And there was drama.

The End. Back to studying.

Thanks for the update. I did not want to ask for one because I figured you had enough on your plate with the up coming test.

I think you did a good job at blogging for Geoff's pictures. I love the outfits! My boys aren't so into picking their own outfits. But Arthur always wears his shirts backwards.

It IS a made up holiday. Though this is from the girl that used to celebrate her half birthday at school, because her real birthday is in the summer and therefore never got celebrated.

Sometimes you just need three sweaters for a nap. I remember finding Owen in like fourteen pairs of socks one night. He also had a tote bag full of more pairs. :)

Happy birthday and a half, Hazel!!

Hi, I am just finally catching up on blog reading. Belatedly, happy half-birthday to Hazel, and also belatedly, here is a link to the potty song. Dylan loved this and they had a little icon on their computer for it that he could push himself. http://www.pottysong.com/
